Support my challenge to leave MS behind!
I’m taking part in The May 50K challenge this May to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis!
MS strikes young people in the prime of their lives. The average age of diagnosis is only 30 years old, and there is no known cure.
Please make a donation and support my challenge to leave MS where it belongs, behind us.
Your donation will support research into the prevention, treatment and finding a cure for multiple sclerosis to change lives.
Thank you!
My Updates
Halfway day
Not halfway in the walking though so a bit of extra ooomph required as we head for 50km by May 30. we had over 40ml of rain on Friday and our track is still a bit slippery and muddy in places so today I walked the beach to beach track along the river. I managed to do just over 5km in about 65 mins so I might do that walk again. Please continue to donate as it's not about me walking - it's about raising money for MS. How wonderful it would be to be able to financially contribute to finding a cure!!!Day 6
I'm a little behind my average daily goal but should be back on track by the end of this week. The last lap of the track this morning would have to be my fastest so far - turns out you should use the bathroom before walking!!!! Thanks to all who are contributing $$$ to this vital fundraiser. Yes, I've reached my $1000 fundraising goal but there is such a need to raise as much money as we can so we can treat, prevent and cure MS!! Your donations are greatly appreciated and if you haven't so far, please donate - every $ counts!!! 🌸Day 1
So excited to start the May50k!! It's still a bit dark to walk atm but the sun will rise soon, and I can lace up my Hoka's and get moving. I'll be walking around our track, which goes right around the inside of our property - about 750m a circuit. My daily goal is to walk 3 laps a day but I may have to up it to reach my 50km goal as yesterday I was told I have to have surgery on my right leg to remove a plate from breaking my leg and ankle 14 years ago. It's a priority semi-elective surgery at a hospital in Victoria (so it will either happen really soon or in several months time) 🙃 MS is life-changing and seriously debilitating! People with MS deal with increasing symptoms that limit their abilities and independence everyday. Thank you so much for supporting this amazing fundraiser and let's get that money in to continue the support and services for people living with MS and to prevent, treat and cure MS!!!! 🌸Thank you to my Sponsors
